Has any survey/study been made so far to identify the socio-economic problems of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi Nomadic Tribes in the State/UT?  If yes, a brief account of findings of such survey/study be given or if a Report was prepared on the basis of such survey/study, a copy of such Report be made available.

INFORMATION ON DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE MEASURES  

8.  Details of policies/programmes/schemes implemented by the State Govt/UT. during the 9th and the 10th  Five Year Plan period for socio-economic development of  Denotified, Nomadic and Semi Nomadic Tribes (Category wise) 

  1. Number of beneficiaries of such policies/programmes/schemes in each category upto31.3.2006 (Category wise)

Details of Finance and Development Corporation/Authority etc. constituted by the State Government/UT to disburse loans/subsidies etc. to the members of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes and their yearly  performance in terms of number of beneficiaries and quantum of loans/subsidies disbursed (category wise) during the X Plan upto 31.3.2006

32. Whether persons belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes are given priority in the allotment of surplus Panchayat land like persons belonging to SC/STs?  If yes, the no. of persons belonging to these tribes who have been allotted panchayat land during the last 10 years. 

33. No. of house sites and pattas distributed to the members of the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes  district wise and community wise during the last five years and number of houses  constructed on such sites during this period. 

34. Does the State Government have a scheme/programme for the settlement of the families of the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic  Tribes at various places in the State?  If yes, details of such schemes /programmes may be given. 

35  No. of Coop. Group Housing Societies consisting of members of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic  Tribes, land allotted by the Government to such societies, no of societies in which construction of houses has been completed and  no. of such societies in which construction of houses  has not been completed.  The reasons for non-completion of construction of houses  may be indicated.  

36  Whether it is a fact that a person belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes has to obtain two caste Certificates, one as a member of one of these tribes for the purpose of availing reservation under the State Government and the other as OBC for availing reservation under the Union Govt. and if yes, is the State Govt. considering to arrange a single certificate admissible for both the purposes? 

37. Is it true that the State Government authorities insist for proof of residence, caste certificate of father, mother or any other close blood relation and birth certificate etc for issuing Caste or age certificates to the children belonging to the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes who apply for such certificates while seeking admission in School/Colleges etc.   Is it also true that the same procedure is being followed for the issue of Ration Card, BPL Certificate to the Tent-dwellers etc. 

38 Do these Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes generally     have their funeral/burial grounds?  If not, how do they dispose off their dead bodies?  

42. Steps taken by the State Government to promote self-help groups among the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes and the number of such groups and the number of members in such groups.

 EMPLOYMENT OPPORUNITIES 

39. The no. of educated unemployed belonging to the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes registered in the Employment Exchanges of the State (Separately for boys and girls) and the number of such educated unemployed (boys and girls separately) who were able to get jobs  in skilled and unskilled categories during the last five years.  

  1. No. of officers in Class I and Class II under the State Government who belong to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes as on 1.4.2006 (Community wise)
     
  1. No. of Sub-inspectors of Police in the State police  belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes as on 1.4.2006 (Community wise).

PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION OF ART CULTURE AND HERITAGE  

  1. List of NGOs/organizations, if any working in the State and dealing with the activities relating to the socio-economic development of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes
     
  1. Annual financial assistance released by the State Govt. to such NGOs (NGO wise) during the Tenth Five Year Plan upto 31.3.2006

  1. No. of Zila Parishads and  no. of members of Zila Parishads in the State and the number, names and caste and sub-caste of Chairpersons and Members of Zila Parishads in the State who belong to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (Category-wise)

EDUCATION 

  1. Rates of literacy (separately for male and female) among Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (Category wise) if figures based on some formal survey are available

21  Percentage of enrolment and dropout at Elementary School, Middle School and High School levels of students  belonging to De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes during the last five years. 

22. Mode of payment of pre-matric school  scholarships for the students belonging to De-notified, Nomadic & Semi-nomadic Tribes. 

23. Rates of scholarships at elementary, middle, high school and post matric levels for the students belonging to De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes 

24. No. of Hostels for Boys & Girls (separately) and the number of boys and girls admitted to such hostels during the last five years 

25. No. of residential schools for children belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-nomadic Tribes and  no. of students studying in such schools during the last five years. 

26. Income ceiling for Post-matric scholarships for  students belonging to Denotified, Nomadi c and Semi-nomadic Tribes and the income ceiling for students belonging to SC & STs.  If the income ceilings are different, reasons for such difference. 

27. Whether disbursement of scholarship is made during the first half of the academic year or not.  If not, the reasons for not disbursing scholarships during the first half of the academic year. 

28  Number of students belonging to Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic tribes, who passed out of Govt./Private Engineering and Medical Colleges in the state during  the last five years.  The Caste and Sub-Caste of such students may also be indicated. 

29. Whether students belonging to the landless families of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes  are admitted in the Agriculture Colleges in the State or not.  If not, the reasons for not admitting such students to Agriculture Colleges. 

30. Whether there is reservation for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes at various levels in the teacher training institutions under the control of the State Government, if yes, the extent of reservation be indicated. 

31. Whether the State Government is implementing any scheme for the school education for children in the age group of 0-6 years belonging to the Denotified,Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribes who do not have access to the scheme of  Anganbadi like Bastishala (in Maharashtra)?  If yes, the details of such schemes. 

IMPLEMENTATION  OF LAWS  

18. No. of beggars sent to Beggar Homes and rehabilitated during the last 5 years along with details of such beggars and their rehabilitation. 

19  Details of expenditure incurred in the running and maintenance of Beggars Receiving Centres and Beggar Homes.   

  1. No. of persons arrested by Police under Habitual Offenders’ Act for Improvement and Rehabilitation.

SUGGETION AND RECOMMENDATION  

  1. Assessment of the State Govt. about the prevailing socio-economic conditions of Denotified,  Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes in the State.
     
  1. Recommendations  of the State Govt. regarding steps which need to be taken both by the Union Govt. and the State Govt.  for the socio-economic development of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi Nomadic Tribes.
